General Overview
What are Bet Recommendations?
Bet Recommendations are personalised betting suggestions tailored to individual players based on their historical behaviour, preferences and recent activity.
How does the Bet Recommendation engine work?
The engine analyses a player's betting history to score preferences across sports, competitions, markets and selections. It then curates and ranks top upcoming events based on these scores, factoring in bet recency, frequency and diversity.
Use Cases & Campaigns
What campaigns can I get out of the box with the Bet Recommendations product?
The product delivers personalised betting experiences directly on your sportsbook front-end, designed to help players quickly discover relevant events and place bets. The integration method is typically via our bet recommendations API or through batched files if the operator cannot support API delivery.
What channels can I run these campaigns on?
Bet Recommendations can be delivered across both on-site and CRM channels:
- On-site (via CMS): Personalised modules integrated into the sportsbook UI, such as on the homepage, sport pages, event pages, bet slip suggestions and in-play betting placements.
- CRM (Push, Email, In-App): Use the same recommendation data in outbound messaging to drive players back to their personalised betting view.
How does configuration/targeting work for a campaign?
Targeting is based on dynamic player profiles built from betting data. You can configure campaigns by sport, competition, activity recency, market preferences, and more - using simple rule-based setups or advanced segmentation.
Can I apply exclusion lists? (e.g. for safer play)
Yes. You can apply exclusion logic to omit players under safer gambling monitoring, cooling-off periods, or other restrictions via standard list ingestion or API integration.
Integration & Implementation
How long does it typically take to integrate?
Standard integration takes 3–6 weeks depending on data access and partner tooling. Faster setup is possible via plug-and-play partners.
What data is required for the Bet Recommendations product to work?
At minimum, we require:
- Player betting transactions (bets, stakes, timestamps, outcomes)
Can you accept additional data feeds?
Yes. We can accept additional feeds such as player value scores, responsible gaming flags, or custom tagging to enhance personalisation.
Does this product work in real time? Is real-time required?
The system does not require real-time processing but supports near-real-time updates (e.g. hourly or several times per day). Most campaigns work effectively with batch data.
Is data co-mingled or shared with other customers?
No. All data is customer-specific and securely isolated. There is no data sharing or cross-customer visibility.
Can you integrate into other partners?
Yes. We support new integrations via API, feed, or partner collaboration. Custom integrations are scoped based on partner capabilities.
I have a proprietary tech stack. How would that work?
We offer flexible integration options including:
- API endpoints
- Secure data shares
- JSON/CSV feeds
- Custom middleware depending on your stack
What are your ways of working post-integration?
Once live, we offer ongoing support via:
- Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
- Strategy workshops
- Dedicated success managers
- Slack/Teams channels for collaboration
What is your average downtime?
Our systems operate with >99.9% uptime. Downtime is rare and typically reserved for planned maintenance, which is communicated in advance.
Can you share your SLAs?
Yes. We provide formal Service Level Agreements covering uptime, support response times, and resolution targets upon request.
Performance & ROI
What kind of uplift can we expect from the Bet Recommendations product?
Results vary, but clients typically see:
- High hit rate on recommended events
- Improved engagement with sportsbook modules that surface relevant events
- More diverse betting behaviour, with increased activity across multiple sports and markets
- Better retention, supported by consistent relevance in the betting experience
How is performance measured?
Performance is measured through various KPI's including engagement, retention and hit rate. Hit rate is the percentage of recommended events that result in a bet, which for this product is the core indicator of relevance and effectiveness.
