Dynamic Audiences: Personalised Stories – FAQs

Answers to common questions about Personalised Stories

General Overview

What is Dynamic Audiences: Personalised Stories?
Personalised Stories is a part of Dynamic Audiences focused on long-term engagement, player loyalty and storytelling. Instead of reacting to live triggers or self-serve audience requests, this stream analyses player behaviour and transactional history over time, creating rich player profiles. These are surfaced as behavioural summaries or personalised stories that highlight engagement, preferences and value.

How do Personalised Stories work?
After transactional betting and gaming data is connected to Amplifier AI, the system builds evolving profiles of each player. These profiles can be surfaced as:

  • Periodic summaries, e.g. monthly activity, tournament wrap-ups
  • Individualised stories highlighting key achievements, behaviours or milestones

The data is made available via API to CRM and messaging platforms, which deliver the communications. Optionally, Future Anthem can also generate the audiences for these campaigns, applying agreed guardrails to ensure only relevant and safe customers are targeted.

How are Personalised Stories different from other Dynamic Audience modules?
Real-Time Triggers focus on reacting instantly to live events and On-Demand Audiences give CRM teams control to create audiences instantly.

Personalised Stories build profiles and surface personalised data points for players, which can be used to build narrative-driven communications that strengthen long-term loyalty rather than immediate conversion.

Use Cases & Campaigns

What types of campaigns can I run with Personalised Stories?
Example campaigns include:

  • Monthly player summaries: Recap betting activity, value received from the operator and achievements
  • Tournament wrap-ups: Deliver personalised end-of-event stories, e.g. Your highlights from the 2026 FIFA World Cup
  • Casino journey recaps: Share engagement milestones such as big wins, favourite features and most played games
  • Cross-sell storytelling: Introduce players to other verticals by showing related activity patterns
How does targeting work?
Personalised Story audiences are defined by behavioural and transactional history. Where Future Anthem manages the audience, we apply guardrails to ensure responsible targeting. For example, excluding players who:
  • Lost significant money during the period
  • Played with risk
  • Did not engage with enough relevant activity to receive a meaningful story

This ensures communications remain relevant, safe and positive.

More information, including definitions of each attribute, can be found in our linked On-Demand Audiences Sports, Casino and Cross-Sell guides.

Can I apply exclusions (e.g. safer play)?
Where Future Anthem manages the audience, we apply built-in guardrails to exclude players who may be at risk (e.g. those with significant losses, risky play or insufficient activity).

When it comes to exclusions relating to safer play (e.g. marketing opt-outs or blacklist rules), these are typically managed directly within your CRM or internal systems.

Integration & Implementation

How long does it take to typically integrate?
Implementation aligns with the broader Dynamic Audiences onboarding process. Most operators go live within 6–10 weeks, depending on data availability and CRM setup.

What data is required for Personalised Stories to function?
At a minimum, transactional betting and gaming data in batch is needed. However real-time data is recommended, as it ensures audiences are generated with the most current player information. The full data guide is available here.

How are Personalised Stories delivered?
Profiles are typically exposed via API to CRM and campaign platforms such as Movable Ink, enabling automated delivery across channels. Future Anthem can manage audience generation and delivery into CRM systems if desired.

Can Personalised Stories integrate with other Amplifier AI modules?
Yes. Profiles can leverage modules like Content Recommendation to enrich stories with personalised game or bet recommendations, helping drive players back onsite with contextual CTA’s.

Performance & ROI

What uplift can we expect from Personalised Stories?
Operators see improvements in campaign conversion rates, player retention and long-term loyalty. By delivering narrative-driven and contextually relevant communications, Personalised Stories help deepen engagement and build stronger, lasting player relationships.

How is performance measured?
Performance is tracked through engagement and retention metrics such as:

  • Open and click-through rates on personalised story campaigns
  • Repeat play following story delivery
  • Engagement and retention uplift for profiled players vs control groups

How do I track performance? Do you provide dashboards?
Performance tracking typically requires information held on the client side, e.g. which customers were actually marketed to post exclusions, and target/control groups created at point of send.

We work closely with operators to close the feedback loop, ensuring visibility into which players were marketed to (as exclusions in the CRM may have been applied) and what content was delivered. We then analyse performance collaboratively, both at the audience level and holistically across campaigns, to measure the impact of Dynamic Audiences once activated.
