Dynamic Audiences: Real-Time Triggers – FAQs
Answers to common questions about Real-Time Triggers
General Overview
What is Dynamic Audiences: Real-Time Triggers?
Real-Time Triggers is a core part of Dynamic Audiences that focuses on generating automated, event-driven audiences in real-time. It continuously monitors live betting outcomes, gaming activity, engagement signals and jackpot progress, then instantly creates and delivers audiences into CRM systems for immediate campaign activation.
How do Real-Time Triggers work?
After transactional betting and gaming data is connected to Amplifier AI, the system operates in always-on mode, tracking player behaviour and live events in real-time. If set, scheduled and configured to do so, once defined trigger conditions are met (e.g. a player wins a bet or a jackpot nears payout) a personalised audience is automatically created and pushed into CRM systems. This ensures that engagement happens at the most relevant moment.
How are Real-Time Triggers different from manual audiences?
Unlike self-serve audiences, which are created on demand by CRM teams, Real-Time Triggers are fully automated. They remove manual effort, eliminate delays from batch processing and ensure that every qualifying player is engaged in the moment that matters.
Use Cases & Campaigns
What types of campaigns can I run with Real-Time Triggers?
Example use cases include:
- Pre-Match Upsell: After a player wins a Football bet on a busy weekend of sport, trigger an upsell into the later kick-offs
- In-Play Match Upsell: After a player wins a “First Goalscorer” bet, trigger an upsell into the in-play “Next Goalscorer” market
- Reactivation: Re-engage players showing signs of disengagement or inactivity
- Jackpot Targeting: Notify players when jackpots reach points of interest
- Player Management: Intervene when negative experiences are detected, such as a long losing streak
How does targeting work?
Audiences generated by Real-Time Triggers are built using transactional, behavioural, and contextual factors, e.g. bet type, outcome, market and engagement signals. Amplifier AI ensures audiences are fresh and relevant by using up-to-the-second player information at the time of trigger.
More information, including definitions of each attribute, can be found in our linked On-Demand Audiences Sports, Casino and Cross-Sell guides.
Can I apply exclusions (e.g. safer play)?
Exclusions can be applied to ensure players are not repeatedly targeted with notifications (e.g. once a player hits a configurable threshold, they will automatically be excluded from future audiences for a configurable period of time).
When it comes to exclusions relating to safer play (e.g. marketing opt-outs or blacklist rules), these are typically managed directly within your CRM or internal systems.
Integration & Implementation
How long does it take to typically integrate?
Implementation is typically aligned with overall Dynamic Audiences onboarding. Most operators go live within 6–10 weeks, depending on data availability and CRM setup.
What data is required for Real-Time Triggers to function?
Real-time transactional betting and gaming data is needed, as it ensures audiences are generated with the most current player information. The full data guide is available here.
How do Real-Time Triggers integrate with CRM systems?
Audiences are generated automatically and sent directly into your CRM platform for instant activation. Integrations are available with major CRM and marketing systems, as well as custom/proprietary tech stacks via API or file transfer.
In Sports, how do Real-Time Triggers integrate with Bet Recommendations?
Triggers can be configured to link players with relevant upsell opportunities. For example, after winning a “First Goalscorer” bet, a player can be connected to the in-play “Next Goalscorer” market. Going further, Amplifier AI’s Bet Recommendations module can replace pre-set linked upsell market(s) with personalised bet recommendations for each player, filtered by recommendation score thresholds to ensure relevance.
Performance & ROI
What uplift can we expect from Real-Time Triggers?
Operators see improvements in campaign conversion rates, reactivation rates and incremental share of wallet compared to static segments. Real-time responsiveness ensures players are reached when intent and relevance are at their peak.
How is performance measured?
Performance is measured through key engagement and revenue metrics such as:
- Engagement rate
- Player reactivation at key moments
- Incremental revenue uplift
- Retention of triggered players
How do I track performance? Do you provide dashboards?
Performance tracking typically requires information held on the client side, e.g. which customers were actually marketed to post exclusions, and target/control groups created at point of send.
We work closely with operators to close the feedback loop, ensuring visibility into which players were marketed to (as exclusions in the CRM may have been applied) and what content was delivered. We then analyse performance collaboratively, both at the audience level and holistically across campaigns, to measure the impact of Dynamic Audiences once activated.
