Glossary of Terms

Real-Time Recommendations

Personalised award triggered instantly by the Real-Time Experience. This is based on real time modelling of the player behaviours, fed into decision engines, ensuring interventions land at the most impactful moment.

Bonus API Integration

The connection between the system and an operator’s bonus systems is via API. This allows bonuses to be awarded in real time, without manual CRM intervention.
Where using a partner integration, this is handled directly without any operator work.

Bonus Budget Management

The allocation of bonus spend is controlled by the system. Ensures that players receive the right reward at the right time while operators maintain budget discipline and maximise ROI on retention spend. The monthly budget is estimated in advanced and agreed with the operator.

Bonus Caps

Operator-defined limits within the system that prevent excessive bonus allocation (per player, per day, per campaign). These safeguards ensure cost control and responsible bonus distribution whilst improving player experience. The agreed monthly bonus budget will be enforced by setting daily bonus spend limits. The unspent bonus on one day will be rolled out to the next day.

In-Game Messaging

Real-time messages triggered directly inside a game session based on real-time modelling. Delivered in-session for maximum contextual impact

In-App Messaging

Messages shown within the operator’s app interface (e.g., in the notifications area in the mobile app or web ) when the Real-Time Experience identifies an at-risk player. These reinforce retention efforts.

In-App Notifications

Push-style alerts within the operator’s app triggered by the Real-Time Experience. These notify players about tailored offers or bonuses designed to re-engage them before they lapse.

Free Spins / Free Bets / Free Tickets

Promotional reward types allocated by the the Real-Time Experience to retain at risk players. The type of reward (spins, bets, or tickets) depends on the product.

Cash Bonus

Monetary credit awarded in real time as a retention tool for at-risk players. The Real-Time Experience determines when and how much to award based on the estimated risk and determined player value.

Variable Target/Control Distribution

Dynamic testing setup within the Real-Time Experience where at-risk players are split into target and control groups. The operator is able to specify the distribution of players in the target and in the control groups. This enables operators to measure the effectiveness of the interventions against natural player behaviour.

Variable Reward Values

Bonuses whose values are flexibly set by the Real-Time Experience depending on the user's risk level, player value, and regional constraints. Ensures bonuses are cost-effective while maximising player retention.

A/B Testing

A measurement methodology used within the system to compare the performance of the intervention strategy. Allows operators to optimise engagement tactics with statistical confidence.

Performance and ROI reporting

A reporting dashboard that allows the operator to analyse the main performance KPIs, track the campaign ROI, measure impact on user behaviour and track bonus spend.
