Player Behaviour - Spin Banding Highlights

View performance of your games across spin bands for a more granular understanding of your player base

Overview

This page is a part of the Player Behaviour section in Optimise.

Spin banding is a useful tool to help you have a granular view of player behaviour, by understanding player engagement. On this page, every session is allocated to a spin band, depending on the number of spins played in that session. The bands are set as:

  • 1-50
  • 51-100
  • 101-200
  • 200-400
  • 400+

spins-2

If a player plays 80 spins in a single session, that session will be allocated into the range of 51-100 spins. If the same player has another session and plays 340 spins, this session will be allocated into the 200-400 band. This helps studios and operators understand their overall level of player engagement, which can be particularly useful to review by game, as seen on the Spin Banding Comparison page.

Visualisations

This page consist of the following visualisations:

  • Summary figures
  • Spin banding distribution by KPI - by time period

Summary Figures

The Spin Banding Highlights page provides a high-level view of how various KPIs are impacted by each spin band. These include Turnover, Payouts, GGR, NGR, Total Players, New Players, Existing Players & Rounds. Without selecting any filters, the KPIs show the total amount depending on the time period selected. By selecting one of the spin bands in the filter in the top right, it is possible to know how much of each of these KPIs was contributed to by each spin band. Overtime, it may be worth considering internal targets based on spin banding to drive higher player engagement levels across games.

Spin banding distribution by KPI - by time period

The visualisation on the lower part of the page helps you view trends in performance for all spin bandings across the selected time period. You have the option to select one KPI from a selection of toggles, including GGR, NGR, Payout, Turnover, Rounds & New Players. Once a spin band is selected from the filter in the top right, the graph will display the KPI number generated by that spin band, filtered on the time period selected.

You also have the option to filter by specific player cluster to view performance summary for the selected cluster.
