Sustain - Sessions over X hours

Identify risky sessions where players engage for extended periods.

Overview:

The Sessions over X Hours page is part of Amplifier AI's Sustain module. This page helps operators and studios in identifying risky sessions where players engage for extended periods, as mandated by the UKGC. Sessions are categorised by 'Risk Label' to help teams assess the number of sessions that may be considered 'high risk.'

This page contains the following the visualisation:

The above table and visualisation can be filtered based on time period, risk label and player site.

The filters below help operators and providers to further filter players and sessions based on various markers of harm identified by Amplifier AI:

  • Erractic Play: Players who make sudden, large bets, frequently change stakes, disregard odds, chase losses, and ignore personal limits
  • High Stake Variability:  This includes players that have significant and unpredictable changes in wagering, introducing uncertainty and the potential for substantial gains or losses.
  • Max Stake Increase: Players staking more than their previous maximum amount increases the potential for greater gains or losses, thereby heightening player risk.
  • Unsociable Hours: Players playing during unsociable hours, typically between 1 AM and 6 AM, may experience impacts to their day-to-day lives.
  • Intense Session: This includes players who become deeply absorbed in the game, ignoring their surroundings and driven by a strong desire to secure the next win or recover losses, often experience heightened emotional engagement. This behavior is typically marked by multiple sessions and extended time spent per session.
  • Staking Up: Increasing the amount of money wagered on bets, representing a strategic or emotional decision to escalate risk for the potential of higher returns or to recover losses in a gambling session.

Sessions over X Hours

Amplifier AI categories the sessions players have had into risk labels across a specific timer period. This enables teams to easily toggle and analyse sessions over 1-4 hours for individual months, aiding in reporting as required by the UKGC.

Note: You can view the visualisation as a table using a native PowerBI function. Simply hover over the top right corner of the visualisation, and you'll see a menu represented by three dots. From this menu, select the 'View as a table' option to access a tabular breakdown of the data, which can be useful for presentations. Additionally, the data can be exported as an Excel spreadsheet.

At the end of this page, Amplifier AI offers two summary highlights: the total minutes of play and the number of sessions lasting 1-4 hours.

Note: You can switch between a monthly view (showing the number of sessions per month) and a daily view (showing the number of sessions per day) using the drill-down options in the top right corner of the graph. To access this feature, hover your mouse over the right-hand corner of the visualization, and click on the drill-up or drill-down options as needed.
